Hi, all,
My MIL has been warming up DD's frozen ebm bottles in a bowl of hot water after it has thawed.like what everyone does. I read, however, in the Madela pump in style's manual yesterday that we shouldnt put ebm in a pan of boiling water. Can someone define whether a pan of boiling water means a pan of water with the water still boiling on top of the gas stove or does it include water poured out from those kept warm electrical water pot? Hope i didn’t confuse anyone out there. For the moment, we are using the bottle warmer till I get clarification. It seems a silly question to ask because logically one should stand the milk in a pan of hot water. It’s just that the milk always turn a shade “yellower” after being warmed and the Madela’s manual on the words, “pan of hot boiling water” plays on my mind because of the “yellowing”and because of the excess lipase in my ebm making it sour faster and I still like to be sure.
