Hi, all,
Ashley is 8 months and is not crawling yet. Neither is she babbling. She is a real quiet baby. Is anyone's baby not babbling or crawling at 8 months? I am worried. I know they said not to compare, but Kimberly was saying mama and dada at 6 months and a few one syllable words by 8 months, according to the journal i kept on her milestone.

I wouldnt worry too much, My baby has only recently started making any noise and she's 8.5 months. My BIL heard her the other ay and says thats the first noise he ever heard her make.
does she squeal? Thats how tia started, and still mostly just squeals. I think too, they dont often get the chance to make the noise with older siblings ;) My eldest doesnt stop talking from dawn till dusk!

I agree with My2cuties...when there are older siblings around the baby doesn't need to say much because the older ones do all the talking for them. As for crawling, did you know that crawling is NOT a milestone that you should be worried about. Some babies never crawl. They skip it and go straight to walking. But if it makes you feel better both my babies didn't crawl until they were 10 months :)

Charlie makes random sounds all the time, quite vocal for a wee chappy. Normally in the morning he'll lay in his cot and play & "talk" to himself. Yes, I agree every bub is different:) My little sister was walking at 9 months, (fingers cross Charlie won't start that soon!)

Yes, she does squeals every now and then. Mostly she is just observing her elder sister. Thanks, you ladies are just wonderful.

How exciting! My son says dadadadadadadada and hubby thinks he is calling him too...funny how we mothers do everything and the fathers want to get all the glory!
