Hi, Ashley has been taking frozen ebm when she is with my MIL during the day. but recently she has been rejecting them, and taking only ebm which has not been frozen before and pumped the day before. Is it just my baby or is anyone else's baby going through the same thing out there? it is kind of difficult having to maintain enough supply for the next day as compared to stashing them in the deep freezer

My baby would NEVER EVER take frozen EBM, so i had a tough time going out without him :(

Hey, Kirsty,
you are about as immobile as i am. i can hardly go anywhere without Ashley nowadays. Anyhow, i have just found out that chilled ebm can keep up to 8 days in a good fridge. we are now resorting to storing chilled ebm instead of freezing them.
have a good day, ladies

Be Careful 8 days is a long time, I wouldn't keep it for more than a couple.

"They" say its good in the fridge for that long. That is a TON of breastmilk to keep in the fridge though. I know I wouldn't have room for 8 days worth.
Anyways, I have heard people have successfully transitioned their baby to frozen breastmilk by adding a little bit to fresh, then a little more, and a little more until they have a whole bottle of frozen. You could try that.

That never worked for me. The littlest bit and he knew and wouldn't drink it

I would just die if Connor wouldn't drink frozen. I have over 1,000 oz in the freezer and if I had to get rid of all that I think I would lose my mind.

wish i could have that much ebm in my freezer, but i normally would just have pumped only enough to last her the next day and probably an additional 32 oz or so in the freezer. So even if i keep them in the freezer, Ashley probably would just have 2 days supply of ebm or at the most, 3 days' supply, at any one time. Thanks for the reminder. 8 days seems a trite too long for me even.
