Hello everyone,

I have a 3 year old son, Jordan. When he is not at school, he spends most of his time alone. I entertain him with books, Barney and regular trips to the park. He's probably overindulged with toys and treats.

There is no chance {in the near future} of extending our family to include a little brother or sister.

How do I get him involved in more social activites? Or at least fill his days {with entertainment} without exhausting every moment of my day?

I would loook into some kind of coffe group for yourself so that he gets to play with other kids but you get some adult conversation, or if you have any kind of kids music groups or playgoups in the area, anything that is aimed at kids his age is good, so he can have some more social interaction and you arent required to provide all the entertainment yourself.

Do you have any of those indoor children playgrounds around? Those are great for meeting people too.

Do you have a Nursery School or Head Start in your area? We have one close to us that is free and the kids only go for 2-3 hours in the morning, I put my girls in it in the cooler months when its harder for me to get them outside, it really helped them with socializing, following a routine and excepting authority and being comforted from someone other than me. Also it was good for me cause I had time to clean up run to the store and take an hour to myself then when they got home I was energized and had the rest of the day to devote totally to them
