So how is your little one getting on at school ?

2001 was a great year for me as I was blessed with Karli-Ann who is my youngest.

Oh my Angela was born in 2001, on September 30! She is doing great at school, I'm so proud of her. She's awesome at reading and her writing is really good.

I don't like some of the behaviour that's coming home, but we'll work through that!!! She also goes to dance class once a week, looks sooo grown up in her tights and leotard! And I'm looking at enrolling her in swimming lessons or maybe Pippins next term.

Way hay !!!! Two little 2001 girlies :)

I bet she will love swimming lessons. Luckily Karli-Ann has lessons as part of her schooling so at least I don't have to take her lol !

Isn't it amazing how they are picking up reading and writing so quickly ?

How is Angela with food ? Karli-Ann is sooooooooooooooo fussy. She is going to a friends house for play and dinner next week and I was ashamed to tell the Mom that really all she will eat is chicken nuggets !

I had my only daughter September 29th, 2001. How strange that there are two other September 01 babies. New Years Eve must be a good time to BD. lol
I've been wondering when Kelsie is going to lose a tooth. Congratulations hun. How exciting. Did the tooth fairy come??

How many of us have our five year olds in school yet? Kelsie doesn't get to start till this fall because of her birthday.

I really wish they would have let Kelsie go to school this year. She's really wanting to learn. I teach her here, and we have phonix, but it's just not the same. She needs to be with the other kids. I take her to preschool from time to time just so she can at least play with the other kids.

I just thought I would pop in and say goodnight. It's late here. I'll be on in the morning.

Karli-Ann started school part time in April 04 and full time in Sep 04. She was only three when she started there and she was cute in the uniform ! In September she will be in the 4th class of pre-prep ! (and been in them all). Her school day is 8.30am - 3.30pm and they do cooked hot lunch which she loves. Whilst she is there she also takes swimming lessons and ballet so I don't have to do that as extra out of school activity.

She is like an 'old hand' at school now and even helps the younger ones at lunch time (god help them ;) lol !!!).

My twins were born on the 5th March 2001, they started Grade 1 this year and are doing very well, they are above average in their class.

Gina that is a long school day! Angela goes from 8.45 - 2.45, dance class is extra. They're doing swimming next term, which seems very silly as we're coming into winter.

Oh mjay aren't they so cute with that gappy smile! Bet he was excited too!

Angela is back at school today, thank goodness, but I miss her heaps - it's very quiet lol. She has finally gotten the hang of riding her bike, we got her first bike for her 3rd birthday and she's always been too afraid to ride it properly, went to the park with both girls and their bikes because Julia can finally reach the pedals on Angela's old bike - that must have been the motivation Angela needed to sort herself out. So excited that she's finally riding!!!

Alex also went back to school this morning, he was so excited to go back and see all of his school friends that we didnt get a chance to catch up with over the holidays. it was so cute he was showing everyone his gap lol and he was really looking forward to showing everyone the pics he had from his trip away during the first week of the holidays.

Ohhhhhhhhhh doesn't Alex look so sweet like that :)

Well done Angela on getting to grips with your bike - what a big girl. I just put Karli-Ann's saddle up and the handle bars and that will do for this year. Next year she will need a new one without the training wheels on as well ;) lol.

Mjay

alex will probably need a new bike by the end of this year as well.he has been riding his bike without training wheels for a while now. he saw a friend riding his bike without training wheels so he wanted to do the same. i was suprised at how quickly he got the hang of it

also he is getting soo tall!!!he is 1.26m tall already(4ft2) i have no doubt that one day i will be looking up to him(at this rate it will be when hes 10 lol)

How are our 2001 babies doing?

Angela is doing fantastic at school, she has the cross country at the start of September, and has to practice running "cross the country" three times after lunch LOL Lucky I make her a healthy lunch then!

Her reading is still really good, though she has been focusing on her writing lately - that is coming along in leaps and bounds. 95% of the time it is legible! She is very creative at writing stories etc :)

She is going to jazz ballet lessons, and sat her very first exam last week, waiting to get the results back, but she's easily in the top group of the class - yay!! She wants to start learning piano as well.

Whats Angela doing for the big 6th birthday ?

She sounds so talented.

Karli-Ann needs a 'character skirt' for school - not sure what kinda dancing they do in that lol !!

How did Angela do in her Jazz Ballet Exams???

AnJul
13th September 2007, 02:40 AM
Aw thanks for asking. She got 79.5% - which is 1/2 a mark less than honours!! I am soo proud of her because she sat it a day & a half after our croup rush to A&E!

For her 6th birthday party we have a strawberry shortcake theme (so I'm going to try and make a strawberry shaped cake complete with decorations lol - wish me luck!), we are inviting 6 friends from school and taking them to the pools :) According to some of the mums who have RSVP'd it's the social event of the year lol.

Wow, that's awesome!!! Congrats to Angela on doing so well in them

I'm loving her theme for the big 6th birthday too :) Strawberry Shortcake was a fave of mine when I was little :P :fingersx: the cake works out for you :D

That is a lovely theme to have at this age :)

I only sent out K-a's party invites this morning. Her party will be two months late due to the Summer holidays ! We are taking the whole class to the cinema and then out for lunch at the American restaurant next door.

Thankfully her best school friend is also a Summer birthday and her Mom asked if we could do a joint party and split the cost. Of course I said yes lol !

hi guys. well my alex turned 6 on wednesday :) we got him a brand new 20" bike which he was totally stoked with. didnt have a party for him this year, instead today i took alex and 2 of his freinds to QEII pool for most of the day. the boys had so much fun swimming in the wave pool and playing on the pirate ship, was great to see them really enjoying themselves, and afterwards i took them to the cafe there for cake and milkshakes. alex said to me it was soo much cooler than having a party had home which i was quite stoked to hear. and the best part was it only cost me $25.50 for the treats at the cafe and for the boys to go swimming so heaps cheaper than having a party too :)
heres a pic of alex on his actual birthday opening one of his pressies

Just wondering what Santa is bringing our big ones ?
