I thought that the nappy would be sealed away and there would be no odour. Unfortunately the Nappy Wrapper did not conceal the nappy and would only hold a few nappies. The refills were really expensive (around $20).
We now use the Nappy Wrapper with a normal bin liner and we can actually fit more nappies in the bin and the smell is no worse than before.
If I had my time again I would buy a normal bin for her room for a fraction of the price.

oh yeah completely second this, except we were lucky enough to see what happened with these before we brought one (not tommee tippee though). i actually think the smell is worse. we use those friend nappy bags ($2 for 100) and they have a nice-ish fragrance to them, so it neutralises the smell.

Also known as the Sangenic unit here in NZ. I've heard mostly good things about them, especially since they changed from the yellow unit!

Funny story. I bought one of these before Dylan. I got it 2nd hand from trade me. When i started using it, the smell was really bad, so i assumed it was because a seal was broken or something. I bought a new one, and the same thing happened! After using it for about a month i gave up. It's in my cupboard LOL Anyone want it???
I too use the Friend bags.

For those using them and wanting to continue, the supplier recommends spraying the inside with "febreeze" occasionally to help keep the smell down

heh - we just used a small bin (with a lid) lined with a supermarket bag! LOL
And we used the friends bags for the stinky ones. ;)
