Ok so Ella and are a FULL of the flu and shes been running high temps. One which was 38.8 yesterday.
So i called healthline to see what i could do for her and they were USELESS!!! This isnt the first time i have had problems with them and obviously it wasnt the last. They gave conflicting advice telling me that ellas original temp of 37.7 wasnt a temperature and that once it got over 38 if it wasnt coming down to call them back so i did the next night when it went from 38.1 - 38.8 and was told my a different person that that wasnt a temperature either. UHMMMM HELLO my baby is burning up grizzling crying coz shes roasting!!!!
On her thermometer shes normally got a really low temp around 35.6 so when she hits 38.8 i know shes sick!!!
We are off to the dr today but it made me SOOOO mad! How can we as first time mothers trust an "information line" thats as bad as healthline is?!?!

I really like them, but then, maybe i've been lucky with the people i've got. I've always had good answers from them.

That's no good Jess :(
I've only used them about twice and have found them really good!
Guess it depends on who you get eh?!

I also haven't had any issues with them, I suppose the thing to remember is that you are asking for support/advice, and it depends on what sort of questions you are asking them. Mine were that he'd been vomiting for 24 hours, what should I give him and when should I be taking him to the Drs

Mine was pretty simple, my daughter has a temperature of 38.8 is that ok and is pamol enough?
I got told differing opinions one was over 38 is a temperature and another one saying over 39 is and not to worry about the 38.8.
To me that is a big fudge up when its a young babies temperature. Spesh after googling and hearing my dr say that over 37 is a temperature.
To be honest with my bad run of them i wont be using them again.

I'm so sorry you had a bad experience, We have used Healthline quite a bit and have always had really good advice so i guess we got good nurses. I personaly give mine a tablet (over 5yrs old)or some liquid paraceatamol if they reach 38`C but i've always learnt to trust my gut.

Oh Jess that's stink. I've always found them really good and use them quite often, regarding the girls when they are unwell, and even myself sometimes.

I'm pleased you found out what it is.
I'm quite lucky i think, there is no mistaking Dylan when he's got croup, you can hear it easily when he coughs. Was her's not obvious?

Poor Ella  Hope she is improving
I rang healthline when Lilijanas temperature was 40.3 and they said that a temperature was classified a fever over 39. I said all I was doing to try to reduce it and they said it was fine but if it hit 41 then she needed to be seen.
Jacob had a temperature once, about 39 I think, that wouldn't go down with paracetamol and healthline said that sometimes they don't but as long as the child is happy then its O.K.
