humid or dry heat? we get humid, so even though it might only be like 26 or so, it is hideous and we are dripping wet with sweat.

our country is skinny, so it is like a thin up and down strip of weather. we got the humid section of the strip. you guys kind of got long and wide, so lots of variety...

I live about 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico so its very humid here but I grew up in Oklahoma and its a dry, miserable hot there.

We've only lived in Texas for 7 years and we only had to leave for one hurricane, it was hurricane Rita but it hit land before getting to us.

The good thing about hurricanes is we usually have several days notice, a tornado can pop up in minutes.

Niccole in Asheville over here! Born in Oklahoma, raised in New York (lived there for 15 years!) and have been everywhere within US borders since! I guess you could call me a goddess of mainland travelling LOL

As far as wild weather- we're really lucky over here as we live in the mountains... we've gotten hit by the edge of several hurricanes, but thankfully only flooded out instead of having our whole town obliterated... no tornados thankfully but we did have an earthquake once... I've only been here in Asheville for about six months now, so I can't give you exact details... Have visited many times before though!

I'm Melissa and I'm in Phoenix area of AZ but moving as soon as possible to Nashville TN. Sick of the dust, I walked outside this morning and before I could get to my car I was choking on dust. :(

Kermit, I can assure you that you could probably cook an egg on the ground but not enough to eat really, even if the ground was clean for it. LOL We are expecting 115 tomorrow. EEK!!! Usually its still 100+ at 10-11pm. Its 110 as I type at 3:50pm and we will probably get hotter before the sun goes down.

I've also lived in Illinois/Iowa and Florida(surviving one hurricane LOL it was Wilma)
